What customers say?

“ Local pub that seems to be in a historical building in the neighborhood that looks like a castle. I only came here once before during lunch to check out the area, this time we came for dinner and yummy wings along with beer. Lovely deal on Wednesday for wings being half priced. Yummy wings personally non sauce wings, salt and pepper were good thou some were a bit dry. Slight disappointment on the calamari... a bit too dry and small in portion... I like the notorious fries. We were lucky (unless it occurs often?) That there was live music jam for the night with the clients. There was a piano, diff types of guitar, drums, mic, even someone brought his own harmonica... I loved the vibe The service was friendly and timely even though there was only a single waitress for the whole place. Very attentive. We were greeted and seated shortly upon entering. ”

“ As mentioned, the interior design needs to be remodeled. It's lackluster and nothing special. The staff makes this place awesome. Very friendly and attentive. I made it in time for brunch and had the chicken and waffles. The batter on the chicken was a little too dark / over cooked. It did fill my empty void in my stomach. As with any beer in a good selection you can't go wrong. I'm happy when places carry craft beer. Even happier when I can pair it with brunch I love the exterior of the building, and the rich history that comes along with it. Too bad the interior didn't take on the vibe of the outside. One quick look at the beautiful espresso machine and where it is located, you wonder why they didn't hire an interior designer It would probably boost business without the drab green everywhere. Honestly, I'd probably only return with friends on a hot day to sit on the patio. If my review helps, please leave me a Cheers ”

“ Great place to grab a drink and have some appetizers. Pineapple beer was my fav and the guac n chips were a nice add to it. Live Music was fun as well. ”

“ Great spot for a few drinks and some pub food. Looks more like a sports bar, so it could be a good place to watch a game or two. I'd love to visit in the summer, and sit outside on the patio. Beautiful building, cleaned up nicely. ”

“ We were very surprised by the quality of the food: It was INCREDIBLE. Also, the service provided was excellent. One of the ladies was very kind and attentive. We didn’t know that Thursdays were open mic jazz night hehe, and we enjoyed the performance of the musicians. ”

“ First and foremost, the historic building is beautiful with a matching view of the water. The food was solid, I ordered the Yorkshire pudding, and it was topped with a generous amount of meat! The horseradish aioli was a perfect pairing. There are also many beers on tap and reasonably priced. It's cheaper than what I typically see. The staff, from my interactions, are kind and appear to care and take interest in the diner's experience. Before I came, I read reviews disparaging the inside of the restaurant, saying the outside was gorgeous, but the inside needs renovation. I can't relate. There are many TVs, solid paint job, plenty of tables, local art, and good music (at least my taste). They even have merchandise. This is a place where I would have lunch or come later in the night with my friends, have some pints, and maybe take part in their Trivia night, all day happy hour, or play some of the boardgames they have in-house. Thanks for having me! Good stuff! ”

“ Just stumbled upon this place by chance and what a delight! A cozy pub situated in a beautiful location, with excellent service and fantastic food. I got the chicken waffle sandwich with Caesar salad and the portions were perfect. Nice laid back pub atmosphere with good music and decor. There's hints of that "newly opened" vibe going on, but in an endearing way. Would definitely come back. ”

“ Nothing special about this place, an okayish place in Sapperton area. We had steak, fries, deep fried pork bites, and cocktails. None of it was bad nor yummy. Easy to park. I guess the patio will be great place to hang out in summer. The washroom is not clean, some issues with the doors. ”
